Building on a History of Excellence
Since its founding in 1865, the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers (BAC) is the oldest continuous union in North America and represents the most highly skilled trowel trades across the United States and Canada.
Our members include bricklayers, stone and marble masons, cement masons, plasterers, tilesetters, terrazzo, and mosaic workers, pointers/cleaners/caulkers and refractory workers.
At Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 55, we’re carrying on this proud tradition of craft excellence and union solidarity started by our founders. Our focus is on providing fair wages, exceptional benefits, safe working conditions, and teamwork coupled with our enduring commitment to exceptional workmanship.
